In a world where so many athletes thank God for victories, and others blame him for defeats, it is very rare to see an athlete exalt God for no purpose other than praise. Aaron Curry, a Linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks does just that, routinely posting Bible verses on his twitter, @SeaHawk59. He has started to receive negative feedback for this, with some fans even threatening to stop following him AND stop being a fan of the team. Curry's response: I don't do this for you, I do it for God.
The article below is by CBS sportswriter Mike Freeman. He "attempts" to remain unbiased, although it seems to be pretty clear what his true feelings are. He questions whether or not Curry should be able to tweet about his faith. As a Christian, and as an American, the answer should be simple. Hopefully Mr. Freeman comes to understand what Mr. Curry already does.
